  1.                                 LETTERS HELP

  3.   The (L)etters module is for preparing mass mailings.  A separate copy of the
  4. letter will be prepared for each client whose case meets the criteria you set
  5. up with Hunt Gates.  The letter should be prepared with EDIT (press ^E at the
  6. main menu) and it MUST be in the ManageX subdirectory of your hard disk or on
  7. another disk entirely.
  8.   First, you must enter the name of the file containing the letter and furnish
  9. a date for the letter.  A list of Hunt Gates will then appear.
  10.   If you want all your clients to receive the letter, change no Hunt Gates.
  11. But if you want to send the letter to only a certain employee's clients, enter
  12. that employee Gate G.
  13.   If you want the letter to be sent to only those clients who owe you more
  14. than, say, $500, set gate E to 500.  If you want to further limit the clients
  15. who will receive the letter to those who have been so lax as to have paid you
  16. nothing at all in the past three months, set the date at gate D to a date
  17. three months ago.
  18.   To send the letter to only one client, set gate A, B, and/or C accordingly.
  19.   Press F6 to start.  If you DON'T want to begin letter preparation with the
  20. very first case in the file, enter the case number of the first case that you
  21. want processed; otherwise, press <─┘ when asked to enter the "First case #".
  22.   When the printer is ready, press `Y'.  If you press `N', the letters will
  23. appear on the screen.
